Barnwood Kitchen Table

We were asked by a client to make a dining table constructed with 100+ year old repurposed wood pulled from a barn on their property in Wassaic, NY. We selected and removed old barn beams and fencing, removed the nails, planed, sanded and refinished the wood and used it to fabricate a table based on our collaborative design. The result is a 60 x 38 x 30 inch table finished with hard wax on what we believe is Douglas Fir. We kept much of the wear and tear show its character, age and previous use. The table is now used in the client’s farmhouse, steps away from the where the wood was originally pulled.
